Update on Grandma

November 8, 2009

Just got a message from Trish today that Grandma should be finally going home tomorrow (Monday).  Wednesday and Thursday were really bad days but she started having some broth on Friday and seems to be doing very well with it. We all know how much Grandma loves having people wait on her and feeling helpless so I am sure she is very glad to be going home. I am sure she would appreciate any cards or get well messages. If you want to call you might want to try Trish on her cell first (801-648-8876) just in case Grandma is sleeping since I am sure she will need to continue to get a lot of rest.  I will try to update again if I hear anything new!

*Update 11/9/09*

Via email from Trish:

Our kind Father in Heaven has answered our prayers as we hoped He would!!  Dr. Wilson just came in (Dr. Morrell is out of town) and told mom they want to send her home!  They should be home before noon!  Life is SO good!!!

Additionally, for those in this area who might have wanted to gather on Saturday for mom’s birthday, she wanted me to tell all of you that because she will still be recuperating from this ordeal, and because there is so much sickness around, she would like to postpone any festivities until the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27 (an incentive for her to have it that day is that she realized Sue and Brad will be here then and most everyone who is sick now should be better—at least we hope so).    For Saturday, you are welcome to call her on the phone, or pass by briefly and wish her well, but we won’t be doing anything that day.  She just wanted me to let you all know.  (There is a great florist in Bowman’s store (Hepworth Floral 801-543-2226) in case anyone would like to order flowers for that day—I would be happy to pick it up if necessary)

Thanks for all your support!  I have no doubt it was by uniting our faith that this positive outcome was achieved!

Much love to all,

Trish Hutchinson

I’m back!

July 27, 2009

So I stopped doing anything with this blog for awhile because things got a little crazy and busy around my house with me being pregnant and all of Jake’s end of the year stuff at school I was just too tired to do much of anything. Also, it seems that most of the postings on here are from people who have their own blogs that we can read anyway. But since there are some new additions to our big family and some news that some may not know, I thought I would do a quick post.

Introducing the newest Hutchinson family members:

Jana gave birth to beautiful little Macie Eva Hair on June 5th (two days early, lucky girl). Be sure to check out her blog for lots of pictures and updates.

macie

I finally had my baby girl ten days after she was supposed to come. Olivia Elizabeth Lester was born on June 16th and we couldn’t be happier to have her here. Check out our blog for tons of pictures.

Upcoming additions to the Hutchinson family:

Angela is pregnant with #5! She is due December 17th and just found out they are having another girl. So that will be 3 boys and 2 girls for them. For more info and future updates, check out their blog. (Interesting side note, Angela’s twins were born 6 months and a day after my Ethan, and her new baby is due 6 months and a day after my Olivia was born. She probably won’t make it until the due date but we still thought it was a funny coincidence)

As far as I know, this next one is public knowledge so I hope I am not overstepping any bounds by posting this, but Nicole is also pregnant! She is due in January, but I am not certain of the actual date. So congratulations to her and Bryson!

As far as I know those are the only recent babies, and current pregnancies, and I don’t know of anyone who has gotten engaged/married. If you have anymore information please feel free to post it!

Also, for those of you who didn’t know, Trish has finally left California (I believe she has been saying she would for years now) and moved back to Utah. She is currently living with Grandma and Grandpa but we will see how long that lasts. There has also been a new addition to our blogging family so be sure to check out Deena’s blog. It is listed on the side with all of the other links. I saw the grandparents and Trish this weekend and I am hearing that the big Nauvoo reunion is scheduled for the week of July 24th, 2010. As more information comes up (probably from Karen) I will try to post it. That is all for now, thanks for checking back in!

Aliens?

December 2, 2008

Although it may look like an alien, it is actually the 12 week old baby that is growing inside me. And yes, a human one, unless I just don’t remember being abducted by the aliens…you never know…Anyway, here is the first picture of our little one-

baby

The day we left to head up to Jake’s parents for Thanksgiving I had my 3 month check-up for our baby. The doctor was having a hard time finding a heartbeat but was pretty sure there was a baby in there. She wanted to do an early ultrasound just to make sure everything was okay. Usually they don’t do ultrasound until 20-24 weeks but we got one a little early. Turns out everything is just fine but my uterus is tipped a little and the baby was moving around like crazy so that is why it was hard to get a beat with just the regular monitor. Ethan was constantly on the move too. Yea! I am so excited for another baby that never stops moving so I can’t get any sleep ever. (Yes that was sarcasm you sensed)

It is amazing to me how much it can actually look like a little person when it is less than 5 inches long! My doctor also said it is way too early to tell a gender, because the reproductive organs are just being formed and everything basically looks the same at this point. Not that you could tell from this picture anyway since the baby has it’s legs tucked up into it’s belly. So anything you think you might see, you don’t. When we do get the “what is it” ultrasound I will post the pictures and let you guess what you think it is. Until then, enjoy our little alien!
